NO GI BJJ
NoGi BJJ in Joondalup
No Gi is the practice of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) without the use of the traditional kimono called the Gi (pronounced "Ghi"). In the No Gi class modified grips such as wrist control and C-grips are used to control and submit opponents.
All of the fundamental techniques learned in the traditional BJJ class translate directly to the No Gi classes to they are classes that compliment each other nicely.
No Gi is also a major component of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). For any aspiring MMA athletes this class is a must to ensure a well rounded game when the exchange goes to the ground.

The No Gi bouts are often fast paced with many scrambles between transitions & seeing many exciting technique exchanges.
The class structure is similar to the BJJ Gi class starting with a warm up followed by application of technique, and ending with some free rolling.
These classes may also include drilling some extra conditioning exercises designed to increase cardiovascular output and promote fluid movement between transitions.
