ANNOUNCING THE TOKYO 2020 PARALYMPIC BRONZE MEDALIST - ROBYN LAMBIRD!! 🥉🙌🏻🎉🥳
We are so incredibly proud to officially have an Olympic medalist at Wolves Den!
Robyn's hard work and sacrifice and tough training sessions came down to one moment, one race and she absolutely smashed it! 💪🏼 Her focus and confidence going into the race was unwavering as she took on the best athletes from around the world and earned a Bronze Medal in her first ever Paralympics! Her achievement now etched in history, doing Australia (and Wolves Den Perth) amazingly proud beyond words!
What an awesome inspiration and message particularly for other up and coming para athletes from Perth! Check out some of the highlights below, including the full video of her race.
Great race from Lambird! A season's best time of 18.68! The favourite from Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Hannah Cockroft got gold in a new world record time of 16.39, powering past her teammate Kare Adenegan to win by three lengths as the two Brits wrapped up the top two spots by a distance. It was a pack finish for the bronze, and Lambird got it! Awesome stuff!
