We will be holding our very first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu grading as Wolves Den on the 12th of November @ 6:30pm.
Please make sure you are on time as there is a lot to cover.
This grading is specific to the members in the GI class, the No Gi does not apply for this event.
It's the perfect time to get into the GI classes to brush up on your techniques and ensure your foundations are solid. Here's the secret sauce to get better at BJJ....DO MORE BJJ! The more you roll the better your muscle memory and reaction times to execute the correct movements.
BJJ Grading FAQs
What happens at the grading?
A typical grading class will commence with a warm up followed by technique demonstrations, some live rolling and stripe/belt promotions. It's structured by the coaches so there's nothing extra you need to know. Just turn up on time, follow the instructions provided, trust in your Jiu Jitsu and have some fun! Is there a curriculum/test I have to do? No there are no strict tests. Your coaches will be watching you during the technique demonstrations and live rolling rounds. Just focus on what you know and do it the best you can :)
What do I need to bring/wear?
Please wear your Wolves Den BJJ GI where possible. Otherwise please make sure the GI is patched up with the Wolves Den logo. (GIs/Patches are available at the front desk).
How long is the grading? It's scheduled for an hour but please allow for 1.5 hours as the promotions can take some time to get through. Does the grading cost extra? No. The BJJ Grading at Wolves Den is included as part of your membership so there's no extra costs to attend. I just started BJJ, do I still come? Yes! Absolutely come along, you're part of our BJJ Wolf Pack! It's great to experience a grading class no matter how fresh you are to BJJ. If you have any other questions please contact us directly and we'd be happy to answer all questions.
See you all there!
